Approximately 411 = Info-less (Clueless?)

There are some unfortunate souls who believe that telling "almost the truth" is the same as telling the truth.

Do You REALLY Know The Meaning?

As one might guess, I am frequently misinterpreted by just about EVERYONE.

LOL...you would rightly think it's crazy that self-made biblical scholars try to argue the truth with me about anything. My understanding of Scripture AND history allows me to identify every religious heresy in the Church itself, whereas most people cannot even question the authority of church leaders who preach heretical doctrines every week.

I'm NOT proud of this, any more than a bird is proud to see the excrement of its cohorts covering a favorite rest-area.

But it DOES keep me honest. That's more than I can say about people who insist that they know EVERYTHING.

I'm not dumb enough to presume THAT. ;)

Working Girl

I Know You're a Working Girl
That Line's been Towed
Around the World.

But Love is a Precious Work
You See
Show your Worth Respectfully

He Can Feel EVERYTHING You Wield
When Love is Real
That's the Deal

AUTHOR'S NOTE: 9:30 PM, Thursday, June 14--I got a few confused personal communications after I published this poem. It's nothing all that cryptic. I have a friend who was agonizing over the loss of her "perfect" figure...in the wake of pregnancy. Could I have spoken with her before post-partum depression set in, I would have reminded her that successfully mothering a child is about the sexiest thing a woman can do. The illusion that having a "perfect" body is what men find most attractive about a woman is ludicrous vis-a-vis pregnancy.

I don't understand all the deep psychology, but pregnancy essentially verifies (to a man's biological systems) the woman's innate sexual-potency, and is actually something of a secret turn-on. Personally, I hope that the sight of my friend's distended abdomen makes the kid's father more willing to love the woman AND the child unconditionally, and without reservation.

The Islander

I'm not even sure how it began
It was that day I had the
Infusion, I think.
A comment in a forum
About the woman they were intending to stone for Adultery
and Jesus stepping in between
And saying something like:
He who is without sin, let him cast the first stone
Oh what an beautiful island she was on, that woman

A Very Professional Prostitute

Every once in awhile I run into written-copy that sends root beer up my nose. Although I frequently use Wikipedia articles as reference material AND also to explain complex subjects succinctly...I recently came across a phrase about this beautiful and talented actress that I couldn't stop laughing about.

The phrase is by actress Alexis Bledel herself in reference to the role of Becky she played in the film: Sin City.

The Phrase:
"She's a very professional prostitute."

Alexis...that's about the funniest line I've ever heard an actress say. ;) I'm sure real prostitutes have a MUCH clearer idea of what is professional and what isn't in that line-of-work.

Perfect Equilibrium=Death

There are some people who strive to live a disturbance-free life in complete peace with nature...but even on the most fundamental level this is impossible.

The reason is because life itself depends on persistent changes in the fabric of matter.

If you don't have a rudimentary understanding of chemistry, it's pointless to try explaining.

Suffice it to say that energy in this universe flows according to certain EXACT patterns (a practically limitless set of exact patterns, but EACH AND EVERY ONE of the patterns are themselves EXTREMELY predictable).

It is persistent agitation of these "perfect" patterns that gives life its inherent robustness over every inorganic process in nature...robustness that our senses have learned to identify as LIVING (as opposed to merely animated).

My point is that living in peace ALWAYS requires a certain amount of parrying around the forces weighing on oneself. In many ways, life itself is a never-ending wrestling match, no matter how one tries to ignore that fact...to live utterly without disturbances is an oxymoron.

Accepting and peacefully interacting with the real dynamics of life is the first step in ANY conceptualization of spiritual maturity.
