As of yesterday I downloaded firefox. I have to say I'm loving it.

Actually, I was most upset about the failure of IE7 to interact with InstallShield Update Manager (a program that keeps the bulk of my production-quality software updated with new drivers that keep THEM running.

Having worked with NCSA Mosaic (the principal precursor of Netscape's Mozilla protocol) long before browsers became household items, I really am more of a fan of Marc Andreason's Mozila (Netscape, Firefox) than IE.

But the fact of the matter is that Microsoft's incessant alteration of it's Foundation Classes is basically undermining ALL of PC technology.

And as with VHS and Beta, the inferior technology MOST people use is killing truly significant advances in information processing that encourage independent development.

I wish migrating to Firefox was so easy, but for people who use dozens of independently produced bits of production software, the laws of progressive Social Transformation don't apply when megalomaniacs like Bill Gates keep moving the bar for success in data processing. :(
